Version 1.0
Retention policy
This policy explains how long ElimuKids keeps personal information and what happens when it is no longer needed.
Assessment and report records
The child's nickname, age, assessment answers, scores, guardian consent, and generated report are assigned a retention date 180 days after the assessment session is created. This gives a parent or guardian time to complete the assessment, pay for or recover the report, and raise a support question.
After that period, these records are deleted or de-identified unless a longer period is necessary for a legal obligation, an active complaint, fraud prevention, security investigation, or the establishment or defence of a legal claim.
Payment and business records
We keep only the payment references and transaction details needed to confirm a purchase, provide support, process a refund, prevent fraud, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Payment card or mobile money credentials are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by ElimuKids.
Security logs and backups
Technical and security records are kept only for as long as they are useful for protecting the service and investigating incidents. Encrypted backup copies cycle out according to the backup schedule and are used only for disaster recovery.
Deletion and anonymisation
When information reaches the end of its retention period, we delete it or remove details that can reasonably identify the child or guardian. De-identified statistical information may be kept to understand service quality, provided it cannot reasonably be linked back to a family.
Your request
A verified parent or guardian may request deletion earlier where applicable. We may ask for enough information to verify the request and protect the child's records. Contact +2540180189739 and include only the assessment reference or payment reference needed to locate the record.
